Im doing a course with Awesomely Awake called the Abundant Mama Project. It is about finding magic in our lives; practising gratitude for the small and wonderful things in our life... Its also a writing course, so I am using this space to write...
Walk Outside
Everyday I walk outside with my wonder child happily snuggled in his pushchair for his midday snooze and Little Belle cuddled up in the sling, sometimes sleeping, sometimes gazing... We go out regardless of the weather because life without a nap for wonder child is not so wonderful.
Today it was raining; it was that constant rain, not drizzle, bigger than drizzle, the type that plops happily into concentric circles all around you, and if you only look at the ground and not at the falling rain it looks like lots of little raindrops dancing to the same beat, but all listening to the music in their own set of headphones... It felt like nutritious, purposeful rain. Its November so it wasn't the warm kind of rain that you can smell, but not the scathing cold rain of winter either. It was not especially unpleasant even though I was getting quite wet. It was poetic rain, but not in a sad way. The clouds were not thick so the sun was translucently seeping through a little; adding contrast to the grey, casting subtle shadows here and there, and glistening occasionally on the wet road.
It was hopeful weather; it will be sunny tomorrow. We will go to the beach.
Little Belle was peeping out of her covers contentedly engaged with the world. Wonder was asleep.
